Update: I found spring!

I’m done!! Second year is officially over and I couldn’t be happier. I would be lying if I said that this year was a great one… But I think I ended it on a good note. I am looking forward to a fresh start in September!
This also means a fresh start with room decorations… I absolutely love interior designing and am hoping to talk a little bit more about my ideas and plans on here from now on. I have a few rooms in my life that need a bit of sprucing up.. I’m hoping to use this blog as a bit of a virtual inspiration board while I plan everything out!

Right now, I’m staying with my parents in their home in Atlanta, GA. The weather is beautiful here and much needed. I can feel the winter blues slipping away! I’m sitting out on the back patio right now in the sun because if my apparent “accent” doesn’t label me as a Canadian, my ghostly complexion sure does. My entire family has a warm glow from being in the sun year round. My face on the other hand is completely devoid of any sort of glow due to the climate I left less than a week ago. This weather makes me feel like I’m on a different planet.
While I’m here, I’m hoping to get my little room set up to my taste. We moved house in December, and while my other room at our rental was completely decorated to my liking, I definitely have some work to do here. When I’m away at school my parents use my room as the guest room for everyone that stops by. I know it gets a lot of use because we constantly have friends and family coming down from Canada to visit, and am trying to convince my parents to let me fix it up while I’m here! I just want to make our guest comfortable.. Right? (That’s what I’m telling them at least).
I’m going to spend the next few days brainstorming some ideas for the room. I’ll write a post about it when I’ve got some ideas in mind! For now, I’m going to listen to some Sara Bareilles and soak up some Hotlanta sun!
How will you give your life a fresh start?
Sincerely, Rowan xoxox
