My New Business Cards

I wasn’t exactly looking to order business cards, but was extremely bored on one of the many rainy days we experience in Halifax and somehow found myself on the Vistaprint website. Buying business cards had been on my to-do list for a little while but I couldn’t decide what I wanted them to look like. I initially thought that I would make a design from scratch on Picmonkey and then import it, but decided to take a quick peek around the vistaprint designs to see if I liked any of them. And then I saw exactly what I didn’t know I wanted. A beautifully simple watercolour design in blush pink. Well… I’m sure you can guess what happened next.

{By the way, this post is totally not sponsored… I’m just really excited about my business cards.}

The editing tools on vistaprint were very easy to navigate and I had no problem finding pretty fonts or adding new texts boxes for all the information I wanted to include. It did however take me several hours to get everything exactly the way I wanted! This was completely my fault because I couldn’t decide between a handful of fonts and what social media icons I wanted to use but this was definitely not vistaprints fault.

There were a few steps to make sure I had all the information I needed. I had to import pictures of social media icons to identify my Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts and also had to import my logo with a phantom background so that it wouldn’t block the beautiful watercolour background. I used Picmonkey to create the titleΒ Sincerely, RowanΒ in my signature font Chasing Embers, and used this website to find the free hand drawn social media icons I wanted.

In the end I decided upon 500 double sided business cards and three pens.Β The cardstock they used is very thick and smooth, and I’m very happy that I decided to go with a matte finish. I loved being able to customize every tiny detail to make my business cards perfect! I also couldn’t resist when I got to the checkout and they had pictures of my name on pens.. So I ordered a couple of those for myself as well. I wasn’t sure if they were going to be great quality, but I’m actually impressed with how well they write!

Now I just have to find a cute little pouch to keep them safe in my purse and a little holder for my desk. I should probably also build my desk before I go buying any more accessories for it…

I hope you are having a lovely Sunday evening!

Sincerely, Rowan

    1. I know exactly what you mean! They had notepads and all sorts of things that I could buy with my branding and I had to use loads of self control to not buy everything. Thanks for your comment πŸ™‚
