March Review

And then all of the sudden it was the end of March. This year is flying by and taking me along with it!

When I look at the last three months, it feels like there is a common theme or focus for every month. In January I was focused on my family and dealing with the loss of my Grandpa; February was all about finding a job that would make me happy and fulfilled; March was about settling into my new job and connections.

In my blog post about my goals for March, I said that I wanted to monitor my spending habits, work out on my days off and prioritize my Sunday routine. I’d be lying if I said that all of my goals for March were a success! This was a weird month for spending because I had a lot of gifts to buy and I was also tempted by a few must-have products from Saje. I guess that’s just a nice way of saying that I didn’t stick to my plan of only buying the necessities. But, I was better at keeping track of these purchases so I would say that’s a step in the right direction!

I’m still getting used to working in a retail store instead of at home. I’ve been working at least 4 days a week at Saje and come home every evening mentally and physically exhausted! I’m definitely still adjusting to the different schedule (and spending 8 hours on my feet) but I’ve noticed a positive change in my mood and sleep schedule —  definitely a fair trade for sore feet at the end of a shift! I’m usually so exhausted on my days off that I barely have the energy to go grocery shopping, let alone the gym, so I’m still working on figuring out a routine.

My last goal was about my Sunday routine. In the fall, I was great at putting time aside every Sunday night to have a bath, read a book and relax so I’m refreshed for the week. But after Christmas, there were so many things to worry about that my Sunday routine was a very low priority. Bringing this me-time back into my week has done wonders for my focus and time management. I would highly suggest that you find a routine that helps you stay on track! Let me know if you’re interested in a detailed blog post about my Sunday routine.

I’ve been trying to post almost Instagram every day on ! Follow along for daily updates and random Instagram stories. I don’t know about you but I’m obsessed with filling in those little ‘get to know me’ story templates that everyone is doing.

Take care.
