Yesterday was a day I’ll remember for years to come. Just thinking about it is making me smile! It was the perfect beginning to the fall season, and a lovely break from the city and our ever-growing workload (#fourthyearproblems). In the summer I made a promise to myself that I would get out of the city to go apple picking. I mentioned it to a few friends and before long I had a group of people who felt like frolicking in an orchard with me.
Armed with far too many cameras and pumpkin muffins we ventured out to the Wolfville area for a day of countryside fun. To begin the day we stopped off at Luckett Vineyard for lunch. We sat out on the patio drinking tea and eating the most delicious baked brie I’ve ever had in my entire life. After lunch, we drove out to one of the many apple orchards in the area and picked more apples than we could ever eat. I feel as though I could go on and on about the fun we had, but I think I’ll keep my rambling to myself for once and let the pictures speak for themselves.
There is nothing better than spending an afternoon with friends both new and old. I came back home with a smile on my face, a bouquet of sunflowers (for only $4!!) and a bag of apples. I can’t wait to make a bunch of yummy treats!
A huge shoutout goes to my friend Patrick Fulgencio! He was kind enough to let me use some of his pictures for this post. If you’re ever in the Halifax area and want to get some photos taken, I totally recommend working with Patrick. He has an awesome instagram account, a facebook page and a blog if you’re interested to see more of his work.
What is your favourite fall activity?
PS: one more item to tick off my bucket list!
These photos are all so gorgeous, it looks like you had such a wonderful day! It’s completely opposite weather here in Australia, it’s getting really hot again and you’ve made me seriously crave Autumn weather haha! Such a lovely post gal 🙂 xx
