A Hygge Inspired Winter Round Up

I had so much writing my previous Hygge inspired blog post that I thought I would come back with another one! I couldn’t help but shop around for some examples on how to decorate with Hygge in mind.

When I think of Scandinavian design, it’s all about the texture and natural materials. Sustainability and simplicity is the name of the game. Layering cozy blankets, warm wood accents and hearty materials like velvet and enamel feel quintessentially Scandi to me.

ecause I couldn’t resist, I put together a little mood board of cozy furnishings to help you bring a little Hygge into your home.

Aren’t those jewel tones beautiful? I love the lush emerald velvet of those throw pillows and the deep purple of the beeswax candles. The items I picked out are not only beautiful, but they also serve an important purpose as well. The Keep Cup is an every day essential if you like to bring a hot drink on the go, and a glass teapot is the perfect thing to have on hand for lazily drinking tea with a friend on a chilly afternoon.

I love that Scandinavians find beauty in the mundane everyday essentials. The attention to detail creates a beautiful and cozy atmosphere at home and is the perfect embodiment of Hygge.

Stay warm out there.
